Mother Rena "Big Mama" Paisley

Esteemed Stewardess and member of New Bethel CME Church for over 65 years. Went to rest with the Lord in sweet peace on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the age of 107. She is predeceased by her father, Moses Cooper; mother Agnes (Cooper) Swinton; her husband David; eight siblings; son in-law, Willie H. Cunningham (Marilyn); nieces and nephews; and grandchildren. Mother Paisley is survived by her devoted daughters, Sister Rosa Lee Holloway and the Reverend Marilyn R. Cunningham; nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Paisley Scholarship Fund at Savannah State University. Designation: Other Designation Name: David & Rena Paisley Scholarship

Calling Hours will be from 10 AM — 11 AM on Friday, October 23, 2020 followed by the Celebration of Life at 11 AM at New Bethel CME Church, 270 Scio Street. Officiant: The Reverend Julius Clay, PhD. Interment will be private.
